Online Lessons Questions
What do I need for online lessons?
All you need is a free Skype, FaceTime or Zoom account, and we are ready to go.
How do I do an online lesson?
I suggest using a computer or iPad for best connection, however using a phone with a good camera has worked well in the past. Send me your Skype name or contact info so we can connect for the lesson. If you want to file share I can send you a link to dropbox, with a folder made for you with pdf’s that will help you hit your goals faster or recordings of vocal exercise for your practice that week.

I don't have Wifi, can I still do online lessons?
Yes! All you can still do a lesson using a phone or iPad by using the data on your device. The connect is just as good as it is with Wifi, and has worked very well with past students.

How do I make payments for online lessons?
I use Venmo (paypal transfer app) Google Wallet, or Square cash for online lesson payments.
Do you accept cash or check?

Yes. As long I get 24 hours notice of cancellation. However if there is no 24 hours notice, there is no refund for the lesson.
How does it work if I need to cancel my lesson and I have given 24 hours notice?
Then you do not owe for your lessons and you can either roll the lesson that you have already paid for into your next lesson payment in the next week or month depending on payment plan, or do a make up lesson with a time that works for your schedule or have the money refunded to you.

Payments are due for each lesson before the lesson once signed up. If for some reason you need to make payments later please specify and we can work something out that works well for your needs.

How often do I need to make payments?
You can do pay as you weekly payments, bi-monthly twice a month payments for two lessons at a time or monthly payments. Whatever is easiest for you.
Do I have to book myself through your website to save my spot?
No, you do not. You can line up a lesson with me and I can save the spot for you.
Do you do lessons once a month or every other week?
No I do not. Because it is too difficult to keep track of once monthly lessons or every other week, it is too difficult for my schedule to keep track of and is not conducive to progress for the student.
Lessons Questions
I have been told I can not sing. Should I take singing lessons or is it hopeless that I will ever sound good singing?

A lot of people ask this question starting out. But I can reassure you that you CAN SING!! Everyone is capable of singing and singing well. If you can speak then you have every capacity you need to sing. The voice is a difficult instrument as it is the only one that we cannot change the structure of, the only one we feel most insecure about, and the only one we use everyday of our lives. Singing is a skill that can be learned by anyone, just like learning to play guitar or piano, or any other instrument. The more time you spend learning how to singing and practicing good singing habits the more amazing your voice will grow. You can sing and you can have the amazing voice that you always dreamed of! And if you don't believe me believe the hundreds of famous singers with beautiful voices who have all at one point or time in their life been told they can't sing. They are all proof your dreams are possible.

I am already a good singer but I just want to develop my rang or my mix or a specific part of my voice, should I still take lessons?

Yes! The lessons are for all levels and all ages. No matter what your goals, I will develop a lesson plan that fits your goals and your needs.

How often should I practice?

If you can manage your schedule to be able to practice every day that would be ideal. However life does not always allow us to practice everyday so whenever you can manage is great. shoot for 15 minutes if you are having a busy day and can't seem to find the time.

I have had a busy week and didn't get any practice time, should I skip my lesson this week?
I find that even if you don't practice it is still good to keep the commitment of you coming to you lesson. There is so much you can learn beyond what we did in the previous lesson. And it is good to keep up with your commitment to singing especially on the weeks when you feel you didn't have time for your goals, to keep you motivated, learning and growing every week.

How long should I practice?

15 minutes should be a minimum if you have a very busy schedule. 30 minutes starting out is best and then work up to doing an hour a day if you can.

Where should I practice, I feel embarrassed if anyone hears me practicing?

I totally understand the feeling. Your practice time should be a time you allow yourself to make mistake and discover how your voice works and not pass critical judgment on yourself. Best place to practice if you can't find place alone at home is: In the car on your way home from work or school, or simply take a short drive and practice in a parked car. In a park, in your backyard, and of course in the shower.

How soon will I see results?
depends on how much you practice, but you should start seeing some changes in your voice right away, some people find they see a change within the first lesson, but on average it takes a couple weeks of practice to really start to hear and see the change in your voice.

What is the featured student program?
Once a month I pick out a student to have their talent featured on the website. You get to share a song you have written or your guitar or singing skills off to world. As well as a chance to share your story with other students and connect online.

I have more questions about lessons, how do I contact you?
